Five things you will take back to your school
Jayne Lawson shares how Inglewood Primary School, a Life Skills GO partner since 2024, has made daily check-ins part of everyday practice across a small regional school community.
How Inglewood Primary School uses real-time wellbeing data to inform early intervention and targeted support.
Practical strategies for embedding emotional literacy and consistent check-ins across a small school with limited staff and resources.
How leadership triangulates check-ins, attendance and behaviour tracking to improve visibility of student wellbeing trends.
Ways to build teacher confidence and consistency when using digital tools to support proactive, preventative wellbeing practices.
How Life Skills GO complements Inglewood’s existing SWPBS and Berry Street practices, supporting a genuine whole-school culture of wellbeing.
When staff wear every hat, early beats late
In small schools, staff are often teacher, leader and administrator at once, usually with limited time and resources to spare. A consistent, easy to embed system for real-time wellbeing data can be the difference between reacting late and supporting students early.
A real school, not a theory
A small regional Victorian school sharing what worked, what took time, and what they would do differently.
Data you can act on

Sustainable, not another initiative

About our experts
A wellbeing leader living this work every day, in conversation with Life Skills GO.
Jayne is a Classroom Teacher and Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader at Inglewood Primary School, a small school in regional Victoria. Wellbeing has always been Jayne’s passion, and she led the school’s shift towards a proactive, data-informed approach through Life Skills GO, first trialling the platform as part of a school leadership project. She continues to champion real-time wellbeing data at Inglewood and regularly shares her experience with other Victorian schools navigating their own early implementation.
Marcus Barr is an Educational Partnerships Manager at Life Skills GO, working alongside schools across Australia to build whole-school wellbeing practices that last. Over the past two years, Marcus has partnered with school leaders, wellbeing teams and support staff, both on-site and remotely, guiding schools through National Check-In Week and Life Skills GO to strengthen early identification and drive genuine school improvement. His focus is making sure every child is seen, heard and supported, catching concerns before they become something much larger and ensuring no student falls through the cracks. Marcus brings a practical, hands-on approach to partnership, helping schools turn student voice and wellbeing data into everyday action.
